Estate Hopped Golden Ale 2017

Each year we harvested our estate grown hops, we have a number of varieties but Cascade and Chinook are the two stand outs.  We keep the malt base very simple to really showcase the characters of these hops.  We slightly change the recipe each year to suit the hop flavours.

Light biscuity malt characters from the pilsner malt, with bright citrus and grassy aromas from the hops.  The bitterness is quite restrained with and good head retention its a very sessionable beer.

Food Match

Quite easy to enjoy on its own, but vintage cheddar or lightly battered hoki are a very good pairing.

Brew Pedigree

Malt: Pilsner, Carapils and a touch of malted wheat

Hops: All estate grown hops predominantly Cascade, Chinook and Columbus

Alc 5% IBU 18
