LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT

 Our imperial stout used a massive amount of malt, with plenty of dark roasted malts and a small amount of toasted oats to add smoothness.

We joined forces with the guys at Four Rascals to perfect a coffee blend, that would work perfectly with this powerful brew.

We fermented and aged in a small American oak barrel, soaked with a beautifully layered liqueur port from Taminick Cellars, with a combination of Belgian yeasts.

The flavours are very rich, with chocolate, mocha, plum pudding, rum and raisin the driving force, with plenty of hop bitterness to balance.

FOOD MATCH

This is a very richly layered brewed and is best matched to a chocolate based dessert such as a double chocolate pudding with salted caramel sauce

Malt: Maris Otter, Dark Crystal, Chocolate, Carafa, Roast Barley, Flaked Oates and Midnight Wheat

Sugars: Dark Candi, Brown and Treacle

Hops: Warrior, Ella and Apollo

Ferment- Small American Oak Barrel

And a special blend of coffee put together by us and Four Rascals

Cask- 9.3% v/v

Bottle- 9.5% bottled conditioned contains yeast sediment

Enjoy in a tulip shaped glass, we recommend serving at 6-8C as serving too cold subdues the flavour and aroma.
